Had a pretty solid treasure hunt last night. We prayed for a guy who was homeless and had a parrot on his shoulder like a pirate in Petsmart. He seemed pretty moved by it. I also talked with 3 guys about my age for a few minutes at the Valley mall. One guy was pretty tatted up, which was my clue. I reaaaaaaalllyyyy didn’t want to go talk to them, but I did anyways (with a bit of encouragement from Taylor, Ellie, and Hannah). They were so cool about it and just thanked me for coming over. I learned that if you step out in faith, God will do the rest. Neat experience.

Tis the season.

So I just wrote what I meant to be 1 paragraph into my entire paper pastor Trevor wanted us to write. I was just writing about my previous church and it ended up going for 3 pages. Guess I have more feelings about that then I thought heh.

I was just thinking earlier what it would be like to be 1500 years old. I mean, Gandalf must have had some serious orthopedic insoles in his boots or something. People start losing their teeth at what, 65? He has one of the loveliest smiles in all of Gondor, Rohan, and the Shire put together! And watch him run when the Balrog of Morgoth is chasing him through Moria. That dude is bookin. He must run like 10-15 miles a week. Not to mention he has smoked pipeweed the entirety of his time in middle earth. So much for tobacco causing lung cancer. He doesn’t even have the slightest smokers cough.

So yea that’s what I think about if left alone for too long.

So i did my first “treasure hunt” tonight. It was freeking awesome. I personally didnt find all the people i wrote down but between the 4 groups we hit like 11 or 12 of the clues i wrote down. Talked with a dude and prayed for prosperity (aka the lottery). Got stretched but wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world.

I just ran my first up tempo run since May. I am sooo outa shape. When I was running though, I got to hit up some pretty awesome trails and got back to that old feeling that I used to have of peace and serenity. Everything around me proclaimed the work of God and how amazing he is. The sunset was a dark pink and all the trees were moving in the wind. It was just really peaceful. God is good yo.
